Last week was Joshua’s 16th birthday on Saturday. We took him to Hangar Cafe for brunch. It’s on the tarmac of Chandler airport. He wants to be a pilot so that was fitting. In the evening we tried to go bowling but they didn’t have a lane for us—long wait. So we decided to go goofy golfing at Golfland instead. Then we got home and did cake and presents. We got him a nice tripod for his camera. We are also getting him a car, but he is sooo not excited to drive, so the car was more of a present for me. On Sunday he started driving school with an ADOT instructor. He said she helped him feel more confident with driving. He will have four more lessons then take his driving test with her.
Finally making progress in the bathroom.
The front entry way is looking great! Sugar walked on it while it was drying, so he had to redo some of it. We kicked her out for a bit after that. Poor baby.
This is where the bathroom stands currently. I hope it is fully functioning by the end of next week! I am so tired of this!!
Miriam’s art was selected to be “put on the wall” at school! She is very talented! And I’m just going to go ahead and accept credit for that :)
As far as school goes, everything is going well. I have an exam on Thursday on Cardiac, Oxygenation, and Nutrition—random! Then we have to make a medication commercial. I’m more stressed about that than I am the exam. Stupid group projects. . . Clinical was good last week, not nearly as dramatic as the week before. So really, kind of an uneventful week other than Joshua’s birthday. That was the highlight! I had a video from his birthday to upload, but again, I’m not savvy. So here we are.
Just for fun, here’s a picture of Joshua right after he got his learner’s permit.
And a picture of him crashing a car when he was about 5 or 6. :)
This was at my Grandma Ida’s house in Mesa, Az. Probably 2011 or 2012.
