Flashback Friday- All Joshua!

Joshua turned 16 on Saturday. So I wanted to do a little tribute to him of all my favorite pictures.

My most favorite picture! This was taken at my sister’s wedding in October 2020. We were at “The Gathering Place” in Pinetop near the cabin.

This was taken at Disneyland in. . . I believe 2014 (I think). We were first in line—waiting here at the rope—to get on the new Radiator Springs Racers ride in California Adventure.

Baby Josh! Josh was probably 4 months old here. We had just moved the Portsmouth, Va. We are are Virginia Beach her in this picture.

Baby Josh! Josh was 3 weeks old in this picture. It was taken in Buena Vista, Va by our good friend, Erin NeSmith. We were at the Maury River by the boat lock.

2014 (I think), can’t remember. Riding Radiator Springs Racers for the first time.

Me and baby Josh—3 weeks old. At the Maury River boat lock in Buena Vista, Va.

Josh and Miriam at the Blarney Castle August 2013.

Flying to Ireland in August 2013.

Josh just got his permit! I believe this was October 16th, 2022.

Three year old Josh. I love this picture!! I think I have it in about 3 different places in my house.

Josh and Grammy on the Luis (public train) in Dublin, Ireland, Aug 2013

Josh’s first day of Kindergarten! Roanoke, VA (2439 Lofton Rd SW). This would have been August 2011, I think.

I believe this was October 2018. Taken in our backyard in Mesa, AZ.

More Blarney Castle fun—Aug 2013

First 5k at Disneyland! I believe this was May 2012.

Christmas time, 2013 maybe. In our Roanoke house, 2439 Lofton Rd SW.

Prayers time. We said a family prayer every single night for about ten years. Even when we were apart we’d call whoever was gone on the phone so they could be apart of family prayers. Sometimes we couldn’t make that happen, but we still said a prayer with the kids with whichever parent was there. If neither of us was going to be there because we were out on a date together we’d say a prayer together before leaving. Then one day we decided the kids should do their own bedtime routine and pray on their own. We still pray as a family at meal times, before traveling, etc. This was was very special time each night. We’d read a few books, sing some songs, then say a prayer. One day I hired a friend to follow us around for a day and take candid pictures of us just living our life. I’m glad she caught this moment.

Josh is a very special boy and I’m grateful he is mine! He is a great kid, strict rule follower, reliable, and soooo smart! Her wants to be a pilot. He has a great sense of humor and is a joy to have around. I love you Josh! Muah!
